Adelbrook Hosts Annual Fun Day, Cheers Event
CROMWELL - This month, Adelbrook Behavorial and Developmental Services will host two of its popular annual events, the Autism Awareness Fun Day and Cheers for Adelbrook.

Autism Awareness Fun Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Adelbrook’s Cromwell Campus, 60 Hicksville Rd.

This free event is both a resource fair and fun filled day for children of all ages. Autism Awareness Fun Day was created with families who have children on the spectrum in mind, however, children and young adults of all abilities are welcome. This is a safe and compassionate atmosphere to celebrate the end of summer and beginning of a new school year.

There will be a demonstration by Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy. A Zumba instructor will guide participants through some dance moves. There will be hayrides, face painting, photo booth, sand art and bounce houses along with many other activities. Visitors can buy hot dogs, lemonade and there will also be a bake sale.

In case of rain, the event will be held inside the Learning Center.

Get your tickets now for Cheers for Ädelbrook (formerly Taste of Cromwell). This year we have a bigger venue, live music, lots of wine and plenty of food. This fundraiser is a quality wine tasting event for an excellent cause, held Friday, Sept. 25, from 6 - 10 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell.

Tickets are $35, $60 for two and $40 each at the door. Sweet Harmony Cafe and Bakery is providing the desserts, but you don’t have to worry about those calories--dance them off as you listen to the cool swing music of The Shiny Lapel Trio.

A menu of hand passed hors d’oeuvres and light fare will pair nicely with the extensive variety of wines that will be offered through event sponsor, Liquor World of Cromwell. The emcees for the evening will be Renee DiNino, host of Community Access & Celebrity Access, and Nicole Nalepa of WFSB.
