Local Dunkin Celebrates Completion of Remodeling
WETHERSFIELD - Some Wethersfield residents joined Cuppy, the mascot, and others to celebrate the Dunkin’ re-opening on Wednesday, July 11.

Director of Operations Niko Pine said the company modernized the inside and layout of the quick service restaurant.

“Customers will come through and make a comment about how it’s nicer and brand new,” Pine said. “I think it was a great move for us and the community.”

The re-opening event was at 1030 Silas Deane Highway from 9-11 a.m., including games, prizes, and socializing.

Franchisor Ed Pine said the company must revamp the town’s Dunkin’.

“It’s part of the contract with the brand,” he said. “It’s gotta be done every ten years, and it’s part of the licensing agreement we have.”

Pine said the company offered two aesthetics for franchises to choose from.

“We went with the next generation one color palette,” he said. “It’s a warm, interior color palette.”

According to Pine, the event was essential to unite the community and celebrate.

“The residents definitely appreciate it as well,” he said.
